Sheila
Definition:
It is a common given name for a female, taken from the Gaelic name Síle/Sìle, which is believed to be a Gaelic form of Julia or Cecilia. Like "Cecil" or "Cecilia", the name means "Smart and Wise", from the Latin caecus.

My name isn't really Sheila. It's Dawn. The name of the journal is pretty much representing who I am as a person though.. or maybe what I'd like to consider myself as.. [Especially the smart and wise part.. haha.] Whenever you say the name of the journal out loud you have to say it like Steve Irwin as he's wrestling a crocodile.. "She's one gnarly sheila!"

This journal is a work in progress. Just like the owner.

You do not become a "dissident" just because you decide one day to take up this most unusual career. You are thrown into it by your personal sense of responsibility, combined with a complex set of external circumstances. You are cast out of the existing structures and placed in a position of conflict with them. It begins as an attempt to do your work well, and ends with being branded an enemy of society. - Vaclav Havel

The philosophy of Atheism represents a concept of life without any metaphysical Beyond or Divine Regulator. It is the concept of an actual, real world with its liberating, expanding and beautifying possibilities, as against an unreal world, which, with its spirits, oracles, and mean contentment has kept humanity in helpless degradation. - Emma Goldman

Science may have found a cure for most evils; but it has found no remedy for the worst of them all -- the apathy of human beings. - Helen Keller
